As of now I am calling this the M.K.S. for short, been working on this one for a long time now and I would really appreciate your input before I start running the proto's. The handle starts as .750 6061-T6 with Military Spec. Hard Coat Anodize MIL-A-8625 ( appx. 65 HRC ) Average O.A.L. on the ones you see is about 9'' and the blades are around 3.50- 3.75 The blade material is still undecided, thickness between .156 and .187. The blades you see are the ones I like the best so far but I have many more drawn up, Serrated, Saws, Long blades etc. I also have these models drawn a folders but I am no where close to the level of expertise needed to execute these in the folder designs.

The handle will probably have knurling, traction grooves and milled flats on the sides, maybe even some o-rings that set in the grooves and are raised just a bit, a removable end cap, different material for the end cap- thinking heat treated 440c and a small storage area inside the handle. Of course it will not have the strength of a full tang fixed blade but it will be stronger than most frame/liner lock folders which hold up to some serious stresses. I am thinking of offering it as a set - one handle and two blades of choice and additional handles and blades sold separately. Without further ado I introduce to you The M.K.S.
