Wondering if the Uncle/Mr. Mofo's were the same length as the Mojo's? I thought that the Mofo's blades were 9.5", while the Mojo's were 8.5"? Could someone in the know help me out? I ask because I'd been looking for an Uncle Mofo and had been passing on Mofo's because I thought they were shorter, but just checked a Hog website that listed the two as having the same blade length. I'm willing to have the "bottle opener" removed if the blade is as long as I hope it is.

Thanks,

They're all the same length -- 8.5" (minus the typical Busse variations from knife to knife...)

Good luck, Greg. I had a WTB up for three months before I got lucky ( 5th from left in pic above :D )

btw, before you guys fill up xaman's In-Box, I think that is an old pic, and the collection has been dispersed.

Boy is that right ---- amazing how the old school stuff like Silent Knights can take a bite out of a fine collection (that and a few handguns :grumpy: :D)

It's whittled down now pretty close to the "true keepers" level...

Thanks HOGS. Great collection. I've had "good" enough credit to be able to have an two Mr. Mofo's and a Mr. Mojo pass through my hands. Now Im jonesing for a Uncle Mofo, regular or LE. This is good news/bad news as there are several knives out there that are close, but have the hook. I wonder what Ban would charge to remove the hook and/or round the butt on one of those on the right end (what I can find)? The knife in question is an LE and numbered so I hate to do it, but I'm not finding what I want and I'm growing impatient:D What do you HOGS think about "modifying" a numbered LE like that?

if you're going to use it (which you should because they're badass), do it. who knows when the right one will come along.

You guys are going to be sorry when you get into a real knife fight and finally realize WHY the boss put that thing there in the first place!!!! :D

For my next knife fight I'll take a Bill Bagwell Bowie.

Not sure if I agree that a Busse blade catch should really be used as such. It's too small to control the "caught" blade even if you do manage to snag it.

I would rather just get out of the way.

With that said, I really do like the Mojos and hear they are amazing choppers. Probably because of the recurve? Not sure how recurves work. I have always avoided them as they appear to be difficult to sharpen or repair.

yeah, i don't really think the blade catch would be at all useful in a fight.

the mofo i can tell you is a damn good chopper.

After talking with Eli for a while, I decided to put the quest for a Mofo/Mojo on hold, for now. I have other INFI to acquire first, but I won't forget. A Hog never forgets:D

Thanks for the guidance Eli, your a true Hog.
