Can anyone tell me what happened here? Not a great pic but not alot of light right now.

I take it that you are referring to the swedge on the LE? :confused:

EDIT: scratch that... I must be tired. :yawn: ...The doublecut finish???
 
Looks like something was done to the spine of the bottom one along the top of the blade and behind the hump. Is that it?
 
Yeah with the bad light it does look double cut but its satin and the bottom is tan. Oeser is very warm.

Spine looks ground down a bit to make it very flat. My Mefo's spine is ground perpendicular to the blade (ETA: and slightly rounded... would the term be 'radiused'?), that one seems to be ground parallel. Seems thicker than normal, but mebbe that's because the spine looks thicker at the swedge to me.

I give up...what's the deal? :)
 
As far as I know there were never any tan Uncle mofo's made so I'd say that is a Mr mofo that has had the blade catch ground off
