A photo of my Mohawk Tracker appeared in the February, 2001 issue of Blade Magazine. Unfortunately, the caption leads you to believe this is a folder. In fact, it is a FIXED blade!

The fastener located where a pivot pin would normally lie on a folder is used for retention of the knife in its kydex sheath.

The blade is 5/32" BG-42 and the overlays are green G-10 over black Micarta. Email me at andersontech@webtv.net if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Hi Tom,

In the March 2001 issue of Blade, I saw a few of your designs made by Master Cutlery. Can you tell me more about it? The steel use for the blade? Liner material? thickness??Thank you.

At this time, I don't have all of the manufacturer's specifications on these knives. I hope to be able to answer your questions after the SHOT Show this weekend.

Here's a photo of one of my hand-built Mohawks:

This knife has a 1/8" thick BG-42 blade, titanium frame, titanium lock and clip, and ironwood overlays. Newer knives will have a thumb stud instead of the slot.

Thanks for your interest!

Tom
Just want to say that you make some very nice knives. Uncluttered and very clean looking designs yet also very fancy looking at the same time.

Thanks, Bob! I find designing to be one of the more challenging aspects of knifemaking. It's good to know people like my stuff!

Beautiful lines on those knives. Neat, clean design too. I'm sure an Anderson folder will be part of my collection someday.

Hi Tom... Very nice design! I met you at the Baltimore show, and was quite impressed with your knives. I have two of them, and most likely I will be getting more.

Thanks, guys!

Anyone wanting to see a few more photos and drawings of my knives can visit my website at www.andersoncustomknives.com.

(It's not a fancy website - We're still working on it.)

You can also email me with your name and address for the latest information. The 2001 brochure should be ready in a couple of weeks. It will describe several new models.

Tom, I'm a big fan of the wharncliff blade or wharncliffish blade, (where the tip comes up just a little).
Like the look of your knives and hope to see you at the Lewisburg Show in Feb 2001, will you be there this year?

Gary:

Thanks for the compliment.

I will not be attending the Lewisburg show this year. I will be at the Blade Show, Southeast Custom Show, Fall New York Show, and Timonium Show this year.

Tom is the only maker who offers tactical M& Ms! Black or grey, your choice! Hey Tom, how do you get them in that color? Titanium oxide coat? Or Black T?

It's a "secret" process!

Some people forget who I am, until they see the "tactical" M&M's at a show. They've gotten a lot of laughs, and they're pretty tasty, too!

The hard part is convincing people that they're real M&M's and they're really for eating!

I've found they're more popular than having a crock pot of barbequed ribs on the table (at least with the other makers - especially those with all the pretty mirror polished knives)!
