Picked up an easy open jack, no stamps etc, the first "sterile" slipjoint I've seen. It came in a small plastic pouch with literature for Mohawk Valley Knifeworks. Anyone heard of them? The literature states the knife is handmade by a Daniel A Houde, from Orchard Hill Sutlery. Any information from the slipjoint afficionados is appreciated. Thanks.

I found nothing via an internet search for either MVK or Mr. Houde?. Where did you get it and how's about a pic?

And he's so proud of his work that he doesn't mark it in any way at all???

I'll take a pic tonight sunnyd. Yeah, joe-bob, I was amazed at the "sterile" blade, no markings at all. It doesn't look like anything was rubbed off. It looks like the parent company, Orchard Hill Sutlery, offers Civil War era reproductions, but I haven't found a site for them yet.

Stumbled across this today, Mods, I am not trying to shill for anyone, just looking for some info on my knife.

Also, after a quick Google search, Dan Houde is a member on here that goes by the user name mumbly_peg. I just posted a visitor message for him. Hope he still checks the email that is linked to his BF account.
