Can someone tell me about the differences in these knives other than the obvious blade catch?

Scored a Mr. Mojo in the Extravaganzaaaaa. Is this one a good chopper?

They are more of a fighter than a chopper, a Steel Heart or a Battle Mistress would make a better chopper. There isn't any real difference between the two.

So I guess it is time for me to say... ohh... THE PAIN... one w/o bladecatch is always the best but ths eu handle... it rules...

oddly, the way i understood it the names went -

mr. mojo - a kind of variation on the steelheart theme, full flat grind 1/4 blade with blade catch

uncle mojo - same as mr. mojo but without a blade catch (1/4" full flat grind). pictures of uncle mojo's are quite hard to come by i might add...
*image removed becase upon further inspection the image contained uncle mofo's, not uncle mojo's)

mr. mofo - .220 saber grind version of the mr. mojo

another note on the mojos - while they are decent sized blades and 1/4" thick, they have a distal taper that starts around where the clip/drop point hump is. the ergo handle is a large grip filling handle (heighth wise) and uses up a lot of material, and a lot of weight. because of this, combined with the distal taper, its a fairly nuetral balance knife that lens itself to snap cuts, but not so much to full power swings.

Wouldn't the olive Mojo from the sale actually be a Mr. MOFO because of the saber grind?

And the plot thickens. It gets even more confusing, doesn't it? :D

Actually there were never any "uncle" mojo's. Only Uncle MoFo's. The Uncle MoFo was supposed to be a one off, but when I called Jerry and asked about it he liked it so much he produced a few of them (somewhere around 50). The Uncle MoFo's and Mr. MoFo's are saber ground, the Mr. Mojo's are full flat ground. The MoFo's came in DC and Satin Finish, the Mr. Mojo's came in an LE and Coated. There were also some desert variations of the Mr. MoFo, but none of the Uncle MoFo.

I believe the sale items should have fallen under the MoFo name because of the grind, but who am I to argue with Jerry ;)

:D:D

Right on Eric. He who maketh, he who nameth.

So would it be fair to say that my MoFo has Mojo?

Or that my Mojo is one bad MoFo?

:D

It's a Mojo variant. ;)
