So I picked up a 2006? Mojo. And the blade went to the custom shop and got the blade coated and hand shaped snakeskin scales...now if I strip it will it be satin underneath? And also do any sheath makers have this model in stock?....I hate sending my babies away?image.jpg not my pic pic is property of Seth Green

Ah, the elusive and rare EU Mr. MoJo. Nice score. Love that handle shape and the new scales.

some info here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...The-Grail-by-crook-or-by-hook?highlight=grail

Flat ground INFI tends to be pretty good looking when stripped, but it still won't look like factory satin. Probably wouldn't take much work to clean up, though.

Thank for the info and complement on the knife ! I was told the handels were hand shaped snake skin and the rivits were stainless steel and the blade was coated after purchase. And handles were hand shaped. But again thanks for the info. It helped alot.

Those scales were recently put on the blade at the custom shop, or they were the originals?

Now don't take my word for it but I belive the scales came with it and then it was sent to the custom shop for the hand shaped scales and stainless steel rivets and the blade coating..but there is a chance I'm way off...lol

Ok that is better, I may have misread your OP that they actually put snakeskin micarta on the knife after you sent it there. I know that they do not offer that variety anymore.
Thanks for the clarification.

AFAIK, that was not a Muddy Mojo. Those had serrations inside the recurve. Yours came from the Minumental 'Ganza of Feb. 2006. There were four variants offered. The pics are gone from the original posts, but the prices are here:

Busse Collector has archived the pics: http://www.bussecollector.com/gallery/ganza/minumental06/

The thing is, the pics don't match standard Busse nomenclature. It is supposed to be:

MoJo flat grind
MoFo sabre grind

Mr. has the blade catch
Uncle is hookless.

So the pics don't make sense relative to the name on some of those. Presumably, Jerry and Garth were drunk when they posted and din't manage to include the correct pics.

Since that 'Ganza there have been very few sightings of those EU handled knives. (Which is a shame, because they are great blades.) Right after the 'Ganza, almost nobody mentioned getting one, and people seldom posted pics back then. So the knives just disappeared into INFI black holes. That's why I called your EU Mr. MoJo rare and exclusive.

My guess is that somebody sent one to the Custom Shop years ago, when snakeskin was still available, for a handle swap and the camo coating. And now it is your turn to make it your own.

So I did find out that this knife started its life as a blank. So this may help some. It really is neat to track down the history of a blade. I'm in love with this one!
