wich do you guys prefer, the mojo, or the mofo?

mojo = 1/4" thick, fully flat ground. rounded blade catch
mofo = 3/16" thick saber ground (with very slight upper swedge), sharp non rounded blade catch.

opinions?

cause honestly i dont know... i like the 1/4" of the mojo, but i like the blade catch of the mofo... the mofo seems like a better bag knife because it would be lighter, and 3/16" infi is plenty strong... the mojo seems like a better chopper, fully utilizing weight over the recuve to get in that slicechop action...

Where did you find a 3/16" Mofo? Mine are all closer to 1/4", probably more like .220"

I have both. I prefer the Mojo. The bladecatch is a nicer design, sturdier. I'd like the mofo better if it had a sharp swedge. It's still a sweet design, but I think the Mojo works better.

were the mofo's and mojo's the same thickness???

or was the mojo .25, and the mofo's .22?

i didnt even notice the difference in the blade catches until you mentioned it. i thought the mofo had the inner section carged out to make it pointier... or something... i definitely see why the mojo would be stronger.

are mojo's generally heavier then mofo's? /is it big enough to tell the difference?

if could only have 1 of these blades, for use, wich would you have, the steel heart (e), mr. mojo, or mr. mofo?

I like Mr. Mojo because he is a lean mean clip point SH-e in disguise. Mr. Mofo is a Bad ass big boy with a screaming zero edge. I'd never part with either one. You really can't go wrong with one in the Mojo/Mofo family. The best thing to do really is "Buy Both". :D

Seth,

The spec. listed when the MoFo was offered is .220", so it should be somewhat lighter than a Mojo, and the different grinds would probably also have some influence on the weight.

The one I kept, the UNCLE! No blade catch, but a nice thumb ramp, zero edge. beautiful grind lines, swedge, double cut finish. Just perfect! The only thing I'm going to have done is a butt grind to shorten the handle a bit for carry. Dwayne is in the process of carving a sheath for this beauty. I had a MOJO CG, MOFO LE, and a Desert MOFO. They left, the Uncle stayed. The nicest lines of the bunch IMO. Mic's out at .220.

okay, i got the mojo i won off of ebay...

and some interesting things i didnt exect. i probably should have, but they are suprising regardless.

there is a full taper that begins at the bend in the spine, making the front area much much lighter then then the battle mistress, and in generall it seems considerably smaller in the hand the the battle mistress.

in the handle, its a dead on 1/4", but in the blade its just a little above being between 3/16 and 1/4" (wich i assume is .22)

SO... since i dont have the mofo yet, i wonder if the mofo will feel stronger then the mojo, since its the same blade thickness, but with a saber grind...

if it is, then i feel that i'll prefer it a lot more.

hope hope and then some... gonna reform the kydex that came with the mojo if the mofo doesnt get here soon  :) . the kydex that came with it has tons of extra material on it.. im pretty sure i can reform it (not to accept the blade catch (will be outside of sheath)), and cut off a 1/2-3/4" off the length of the entire blade.... the guy who made it left about 1/4-1/2" on the spine where its folded over... i plan to get that dead set against the spine, get it as close quarters to the knife as possible...

hopefully the mofo will get here before i do anythign like that to it so i can sell it as is :D

IIRC the MoFos are all 0.220" thick because the 0.250" stock needs to be surface ground to remove imperfections for satin and double-cut finishes. Coated knives can be the full 0.250" thick.

I really like how the cutouts in the tang shift the balance of the blade forward. Quite a lot of knife though it weighs only about 16 oz.

the balance is just about at the talon hole..

both of mojo and mofo are coated, the mojo = combat grade, the mofo = desert tan...
