Man, I can't say enough good about these folks.
http://www.moldshoptools.com/
I've ordered stuff from them in the past, but it was things like cratex wheels for the foredom.
After talking with my buddy David Wesner ( http://www.kelseycreekknifeworks.com/index.html ) I decided I wanted to try/add some different polishing stones to my shop.
I called and asked about a "choosing the right polishing stone" link on their site that wasn't working. Shortly after, Jon Bass called me back. He was very helpful with information and offered to send me some free stones to try.
Well, I didn't like the idea of them giving me a stone that would probably last for years in my low production shop.... especially when most of them are only a couple bucks a pop. I'm sure they cater to shops that order case quantities of stones, and I just never will... so I felt that accepting free samples would be taking advantage of them.
Between David's advice and Jon's help, I put together an order of a boat-load of different stones, some felt pads, and diamond lube for $60 shipped. And this is YEARS worth of stuff for me.
I fired off an email thanking Jon for his help, and he replied... thanking me for the thank you!
AND, he threw in a handful of stones ANYWAY.
In a world of automated phone systems, customer service located on the other side of the world, and instant gratification.... MoldShopTools is building their business on a foundation of customer service (with real live people AT THE BUSINESS who KNOW the business!!!)
I highly recommend them!!!
