This is for all you guys and gals out there who use Moleskine notebooks. Where do you carry them? I mean, I'd think it'd be easier for women, what with purses and all, but where do you guys carry them? Being a student, I usually throw it in my backpack, but I find it difficult to carry along with me when I don't have a larger coat pocket or somewhere to put it in. Do you carry more than one (or more than one type) for different things?

Also, what kind of pen/pencil do you all use to write in yours? Any preferences/recommendations? I have several, and so far have been using a solid aluminum very fine thickness Parker (specific model escapes me) and a Staedtler (German brand) .03mm thickness pigment liner drawing and writing pen. Both work pretty well for me.

P.S. In the beginning where it gives a chance to fill out who the Moleskine belongs to and to offer a reward, have you all actually filled those parts out? If so, I'd be interested to know what kinds of rewards you all offer.

I carry an unlined pocket notebook for lists and memos I jot to myself, and a large notebook to journal sometimes. I carry a shoulder bag to work so I don't carry them on my person. I only use a Penwa rollerball in my Moleskine. To me, it would be a shame to use merely a pencil or ballpoint on that nice paper. For the reward, I start with the base price of the notebook and will add a bonus according to how valuable I think it is. For example, I would add a larger bonus to a Moleskine I'm almost done with compared to a new one that's pretty much empty.

I carry my Moleskine Pocket Ruled Notebook in my bug-out bag which I take with me every day. I use a Cross ATX ballpoint pen to write. As an aside, I didn't know until recently that Moleskine is pronounced mol-a-skeen'-a. I put my email address in the "in case of loss" section with "as a reward" of "email me for a quote". :D I wonder if the currency for the reward section is different for the European version of the notebook.

I carry it in my front left pocket (SEBAGO trousers - they´re great). I write with a Waterman or a cheap Pilot G-1 pen. My birthday is coming up so I´m hoping that I´ll get a space pen. The currency for the reward section is not different (USD) in Europe. My reward is an even C-note.
