Ok guys, I need some info. Seems like the new trend is to sell MOLLE Attachment straps seperate from the pouches themselves. I'm fond of the type that had the thick strap on the back with a button like the old Blackhawk Strike and Eagle Industries gear. But these are getting fewer and fewer. So now we get to choose our attachment system. Maxpedition has Tac Ties, which I'm not fond of at all. They allow the pouches to flop around too much. Though they are secure. Tactical Tailor has Malice Clips which seem like a stiffer version of Tac Ties, never used them but they seem like they would allow the pouch to flop around as well, though they'd be secure. I've also been looking at Blackhawks new Speed Clips. Never handled them but these seem like a good idea depending on how stiff they are. I don't want rigid stiff plastic but I also don't want something as flemsy as a nylon strap. So I want to hear to rear world experience with any and all of these. And any that I'm not aware of. What do you guy think are the best MOLLE attachments on the market right now? Something that hold the pouch to the vest or pack like it were sewn on.

I have a maxpedition Typhoon I use as an EDC bag. I have used the Tac-Tie's to attache a Monkey Combat admin pouch. Youer right they do allow the pouch to flop a bit. However I may be able to tightr it up a bit by changing how I lace the tac tie through the molle straps.

I like the molle clips used by RAT cutlery with the RC4 sheath and RC6 sheath. They are a stiff plastic and work very well. You may be able to pick some up off the ratcutlery.com website

The Malice clips will hold a pouch "like it's sewn on" if you weave them through the straps. That's a pain to do and doesn't make for easy removal though. I fashioned a tool out of hanger to do it but if I had to do it again I'd spend the money and buy this (maybe even two so I could do both straps at once considering the price).

That's why I'm kinda likin the Blackhawk speed clips so far. Their one solid piece and need not be wrapped around. You weave it through once and it has hooks at both ends. Anyone have any experience with these. My worry is that being one sided that they could flew and then let go of the pals. But they look like it would take quite a bit to make that happen. They got a size nine that will run 9 levels of pals. Meaning it will run along 5 open rungs on your platforms pals. My maxpedition Vulture just happens to have 5 open levels by 3 rows on the side. I could get three of these and pretty much be able to attach anything I wanted. Plus depending on how stiff they are it would add some structural support to my bags sides. Anyway, I wanna go with the right thing first. I don't want to spend 100 bucks experimenting.

I can tell you that MALICE clips practically weld pouches to a bag. MOLLE locks seem to perform similarly, only with a more rigid material and easier (though just as secure) release. I agree about the Tac Ties, but I could see them as being useful in one way--if you were to thread them through every column on a section of webbing, you've essentially made yourself a horizontal mounting platform to thread some OTHER kind of attachment device through. :D

If you thread/weave the Tac-Ties the right way, they can be more secure than any other type of clip. They are somewhat forgiving when weaving thru webbing allowing for a super tight attachment.

Hi Just thought you might like to know UK Specialist are in the process of manufacturing some quick release clips for those of you that like to be able to remove grab bags in an ambush situation, or have the need to re arrange pouches in a " Mission Specific" kind of way

I tried the Blackhawk speed clips and didn't like them at all. The top and bottom ends are not secure around the webbing and pop out quite easily.
Malice clips-hands down. As mentioned above, it is just as solid as if it's sewn on
