Looking for a good molle sheath for my 1276 Kabar. Blade is 7 3/8" long and about 1 7/8" wide at its widest point. Not that interested in kydex. Anyone know where I might find something??
 
I second the Spec Ops, I have a few and all of them are very well made.
 
I've seen them, but they are for blades 1 3/4" wide, mine at its widest is 1 7/8".

I'd probably still get the Spec Ops Combat Master and just get a cheapo kydex insert made for it. I have seen a couple people have that done. I couldn't find the direct links but I'm sure you could if you google it. I use my Combat Master sheath on my Battle Belt and love it. I bought it specifically for the purpose of it being MOLLE mounted.


don't let the pic fool you. It is not crammed in there at all and there is plenty of space when the belt is wrapped around my waist. Super easy draw and rides perfect along the backside/side of my thigh. It's perfect.
 
I like the looks of your setup. Wish there was someplace locally where I could check the sheath out firsthand without going through all the ordering hassle. Are the edges sewn or just riveted? I wonder how much welting there is as well. To fit it would have to take an 1/8" of blade cutting into it.
 
Found a used spec ops -long- sombat master, so am going to give it a try....thanks!
 
There are some really good tutorials on how to expand that liner to fit wider knives. Most are in the Busse sub forum here on BF. Some of those knives make the Kabar look narrow.

It doesn't look too awful difficult to do, but as soon as someone says that what happens? :p
