My local knife store is def losing loads of money, so I'm hoping to go there soon to get two knives at full MSRP. You guys think Spyderco is surviving just fine despite loads of financial upsets in the civilized world?

I would think perhaps, as people already bough Spyderco knives if they had more money anyway because they weren't cheap, and the Wallmart ones got even more customers by lowering the price dramatically (however hurting the company's reputation because of the cheap steel). The majority of the US either buys Civivi/WE or safety razor folders.

Any info or opinions on this? Sadly me buying 3 knives from my local place won't give Spyderco more orders, as they're older and can't be re-ordered.

I'm not sure it's any of our business what state Spyderco's finances are in.

If you see how difficult it is to get a Z-wear Shaman (they got snatched as soon as they landed in dealers), Spyderco having finance problems will be the least of your concern.

Sal posted quite a while back that they have government contracts so they were classified as "essential" and didn't shut down for Covid-19. From what I can see, they are still selling stuff as fast as they can make it

Judging by the seconds sale and the sprints flying off the shelves(along with many others)I would hazard a guess they are doing just fine.
