The Wife and I attended a home show over the weekend to get ideas about a kitchen project. I saw a kid in a red uniform with a bunch of knives laid out. Yep, it was Cutco. At first I was toying with him about steel, but my Wife was over there cutting celery, potatoes,etc.. saying "This is nice". Ended up buying 3 knives for the (discounted) price of only $159. Here I am a knife guy walking around with a CPM154 SnG and I let my Wife buy knives of 440A. We both agreed this morning and canceled the order. I will pick up a couple nice Shuns from Knifeworks and let my conscious be clear.

Actually don't need new knives, but a really nice pairing size would be nice. Have had the same set for 24 1/2 years and aside from being bored with them, they function well.

They look nice I'll admit. As a professional chef, they are terrible.
