This is my first real attempt at a hamon. I mostly followed RyanW's wip, thanks Ryan!!! She's 15.25overall with 9.9" of W1 for the blade. The handle is some black died and stabilized curly maple that Karl Anderson sent my way. Thanks Karl!!! The guard is 3 series stainless and the pin is 416. She has a gentile distal taper with a unsharpened clip. My wife named her, she said she would feel better if it was a she. Must have been making eyes at her too much!! Lol. Poor pics, I know, I thought Damascus was hard to capture. I might try better pics when the light is not so harsh. Let me know what you think, good or bad.

Couple of other things. The pin is domed and the balance is about 1/8" behind the plunge cut. The black spacers are black G10. Thanks for looking. I had a ball making her, hope you enjoy looking at her!!

Very nice. Love the long and thin pointedness of it. [Pointedness not a word but seems to fit here.] Excellent work on the hamon.

Regards, Fred

AWESOME hamon and nice looking blade. Based on the numbers, it is also pretty large.

NICE knife Cody!
