Trying to decide on which extendable baton to get next.
I'd like some honest reviews, by LEO's if possible (or security guards if they've used them for a while), as to the long-term durability of the Monadnock Autolock batons versus the standard ASP baton (NOT the Air-weight:barf:).
Looking for durability/reliability in locking-collapsing mechanism, as well as how well they stand up to actual use.
Thanks.:)

I've had an AutoLock for 5 or 6 years with no problems or complaints. It works as advertized and is much easier to collapse than the Asp.

I carried a 22" auto lock for 2 years, back when I was doing security
I never had to use it to strike an assailant, but it was opened and closed a lot, (training, and draw practice)
It locked reliably, and was very easy to close, once the button was pushed.
Expansion was easy, either by pulling the tip, or with the standard flick.
The opening noise was a bit more mechanical than the solid thunk of an asp, think shotgun being racked and you get the idea

If I was in the market for a baton again I would have no problems purchasing another one (had to get rid of it when the security license expired)

I never used an ASP brand baton, but it replaced my 24" manadnock friction lock baton when I got it
(deployed both from a ASP side break baton carrier, designed for a 21" baton

Thank you to those who responded.
It looks like I'll probably go for the Monadnock Autolock this time.
