Monadnock Lubrication?

Hi. Have a Monadnock Autolock 26". The manufacturer recommends "Break-free" lubrication for it.

I have a bottle of Militec-1, as well as plain old gun oil. Wouldn't either of these (Specifically the militec-1) be ok for the baton?
What do you guys use? And how often do you lube yours? Have you had any problems lubing the inside by unscrewing the endcap as directed in the instructions?

I'd hate to have to buy a new bottle of lube/oil for EVERY new toy I get! :D

I already had some Breakfree CLP and it works fine. However, I can't see why Militec wouldn't work just as well. I've found that mine doesn't need all that much lubricant to function smoothly.

Dances: Do you have the big, funny-lookin' "Power Safety Tip" on yours? I thought I ordered it without it, but apparently it comes "Standard" according to the packaging. :(

Oh well... I think I'll live... ;)

And the Militec did do an EXCELLENT job on it! Really smoothed it up!

Have you ever unscrewed the endcap to lube the inside? That's what the instructions say to do... I'm scared to...

Doc: TRY some lube, and see how well it smooths out the action of the baton. Besides, you'd never carry a gun for a year without lubing it! The manufacturers directions say to "treat your baton like your firearm; inspect and lubricate regularly."

I inspect it every day. Lots of fine sand hereabouts and lube seems to attract it. I wonder if "white" graphite as is used on locks would work? I think I'll try it.
