Checking my piggy bank. The UBE sings! And a picture of Pala holding it is priceless.

Think I'll hold till tomorrow, give others a crack at it first. It's the right thing to do.

Can someone help me to identify the model of kukri this mister on the first photo is holding in his left hand?
From this angle it seems to be the shape i was looking for, and i was hoping to make a purchase till the end of this month.
Photos of models on the retail shop's site were done from slightly different angles and i don't really have a clue which one is it.
So far "WWII", "Dhankuta", "Sirupati" and "Malla" come to my mind.

ASTK = 18 inch 37 ounce Amar Singh Thapa Knife by Lachhu. Horn handle

I don't think the ASTK is listed at the HI online store. You can email Yangdu to ask if she has one in stock, or you can check this forum for DOTD (Deal Of The Day) listings.

For purposes of comparison, an ASTK is functionally like a Sirupati on steroids. It has an interesting history, as the blade is modeled on one carried by the historically famous Nepali General, Amar Singh Thapa.

Thanks, both of you. Looking at the perspective in the 2nd photo i wasn't even considering that this was the one.

I have sent an e-mail regarding it's purchase. :)

That UBE has some serious reverse curve going on. Really makes for a different Khuk.
I like it.

A storied Khukuri as Marcin will hopefully find out soon! Hope you get it. Post your in-hand review when you can.

Well, it will be my first one so i can't really compare it with anything else, but sure can throw in some pics and write down my impressions. :)
