Beautiful knife, I really like the shape of that blade. I don't think I've seen that style in the shop or on the forums. What does YCS stand for?

There are quite a few threads and a few DOTD sales of this model in the archives. As well as pics of them in the picture thread. This model is another design by Yvsa and YCS stands for "Yvsa Cherokee Special".

It is a wonderful design, and my old Sanu made YCS is still my most prized and beloved khukuri in whole collection. Another wonderful effort by Yvsa and HI.
 
The YCS has a powerful impact. Besides chopping it could very easily split good size stuff due to the design.:thumbup:
 
I have just gone of of these last week, slightly lighter one at 28 oz, the detail on it is amazing, it chops extremly well (less tress in the backyard now), and is a joy to use!
 
Just emailed Yangdu about buying this. I couldn't wait any longer!
