Beautiful sword. Who is the kami who made the beauty? How would one fix the tip? It actually looks fine to me, but I'm no expert :)

I'm guessing Auntie meant the tip of the sheath. She called it white metal so I read that as the sheath tip.
Blade looks perfect.

Lol. Bawanna, you right as usual. My brain must've went on vacation.

It is a beauty though!

That is one beautiful sword. I would love to have her, but I'm going to have to let another lucky shark snap 'er up. Congrats to whomever scores that beauty.

What do people use these swords for? Is it just martial arts?

Is that a khatak around that statue? It's very pretty

zombies. we use them for zombies.
True. Nobody has so much Ammo to deal with hundreds of zombies at a time. A sword is just more economical.
In a robot apocalypse it would only be of limited use
and Vampires heal too fast.
Now if there would be and HI silver blade...

For Vampires and Zombies, you need either a silver mounted AK or my personal favorite, the HI Tibetan Knife. That baby is wall to wall silver with a nice 6-7" blade for perfect arterial bifurcation.

I actually keep a short HI sword near my bedside. If I hear a bump in the night, of course the first thing I'm going to grab is my pistol out of the safe, but if I don't have enough time, well I think a crazy man clad in nothing but boxers letting out a guttural war cry as 24" of razor sharp Nepali steel slashes through the air might give a home invader pause.

Hmmm, man I really might need to consider this Bajra sword a little more;)

lol..Steely is so funny, but I was busting a gut, because I knew it was true for me as well.

An acquaintance of mine found himself in that exact scenario, except it was a bat'leth (Klingon sword from Star Trek) and he wasn't wearing any boxers. He said the intruder yelled "Sorry, wrong house!" as he fled down the street.

Yep! The last thing i see at night before i nod off is them tritium snake eyes staring at me! My Giant Chitlangi Bowie is also less than arms length away. That sword is cool and looks really fast.
You get your pistol out of a safe during the night? I wear mine.

Congrats to whomever picked up the beauty of a sword. I'm sure it's going to a good home.

Hmmmm, wonder if Steely grabbed it? Kind of like to know ya know. This one didn't sing to me, very unusual, they normally all sing to me. Maybe it hasn't hit me yet and it's too late and that's not a bad thing either.

I didn't make a move on this one, sadly. The new house is sucking up money left and right. I spent my morning and $100 this past sunday replacing a garbage disposal that just decided to crap out and leak water all over the place.

Lol, sadly I won't be buying much for the forseeable future. But thats ok. I've got plenty to play with:)

and Vampires heal too fast.

vampires are vulnerable to a quick decapitation. best to burn the remains, tho they usually self combust. khukuris were designed for this. just remember to make the neck cut rather than a body or limb cut.

werewolves are more tricky, the heavy fur acts as armour. a sword point thru the eye socket into the brain usually slows them down long enough to let you dismember them (burn the carcass).

zombies are easy, just be careful not to get any zombie juice on you if you have any open cuts. wash yourself and the sword/khukuri with a good disinfectant soap afterwards.

all bets are off with multiple opponents. that's what explosives are for. sadly the govt. frowns on them, claymore perimiter defenses rarely get planning permission.

don't ask me how i know. suffice it to say i came away from it with i nice romanian sword. the khukuri is more handy for internal house defense tho.
