Well, here it is. More of Leesa Martins beautiful work on my ivory 110 that I sent her awhile back. She did her best to get it to me in time for the show in Pasadena, but it was not to be. Bruce, Wilde Bill, Leroy and everyone who saw the others were very impressed with her work and Bruce has asked me to to put up a display of her scrimshaw next year.

The artwork is just beautiful. Congratulations on getting such a great piece of work. I really like the engraved bolsters pattern too.

I use to watch my father wrap intricate designs in the thread of the butt wraps on fishing rods. But scratch work like that is ten steps above. Impressive.

I used to do some of those fancy rod wraps myself years ago, but with them, you could start over if you messed up. There aren't any "do overs" with scrimshaw. Leesa has my total admiration for her skills.

i got to admit...im not usually a fan of custom 110's, but wow that has to be the nicest one ive seen. the scrolled bolsters really add a nice touch

Thanks everyone, I just hope that everyone appreciates Leesa's talent as much as I do. I've just made a deal with Eric to rehandle a couple of 110's for me, one with mammoth ivory and the other in white bone.

Now I just hope that Leesa isn't sick of me and my projects and will agree to do those two also. She does engraving as well so I may ask her to do the bolsters on one or both of them this time.
