Hey everyone,
I have been coming to this sight for research but havn't posted yet. I am looking for a knife that can be used as a money clip such as the boker subcom or the sog access card 2.0. I like both of these a lot, but i would like to keep the length inbetween 2"-2.5". I like the rectangular slim style of the two when they fold up so that same style is what im looking for. Does anyone know if there are any other knives that could fill this role well? Also, are there any posible legal issues with the fact that it would not be clipped to my pocket, so it would be fully concealed? I would kind of assume so. I live in Iowa btw. Oh, and i'ld like to keep it $50 or less if possible.

Thanks in advance,
Jake

maybe a spyderco dragonfly 2? its that size, and it is small enough that it shouldnt bother you if its floating around in your pocket. Its a great little knife and its sheeple friendly. I got mine for something like 48 bucks. As for the legal issues, i find it hard to believe you could get in trouble for "carrying concealed" if it wasnt clipped to your pocket. If thats the case then anyone carrying a slipjoint could be arrested. Plus the actual edge is under 2 inches, i dont see how it could be viewed as a concealed weapon.

That is a topic for another subforum. Check the Knife Laws subforum to see what is happening in NY and Illinois. I find life is always much better without having any sort of legal issues following you around waiting to happen. YMMV

Nothing thinner than the inexpensive Boker Credit Card Knife:

I like the Victorinox money clip, but the length is slightly less than 3".

The Mcusta money clip knives are top notch. The quality/fit and finish is superb. Plus they actually look like a money clip (as opposed to most of the others mentioned here, which kind of look like oddly shaped knives with a big clip on one side).

Sanrenmu make a knock off of it that is pretty serviceable and much cheaper.

I checked that out...that really blows my mind. Just another reason you couldn't pay me to live in NY. I dont know why anyone would want to live there right now in such a backwards state. Makes me glad to live in MASS haha

Boker Subcom for sure. I bought one about 3-4 months ago and love it. Great for a money clip (although clip is a bit tight) and a great little knife. It's my EDC everyday.

I thought about a sanrenmu, ive heard good things about the
But didnt know for sure.

Thanks everyone for the ideas, i am liking the subcom titan the most right now so i think i may go with that. I wish there was an option for about a half an inch longer blade, but it seems there really isn't anything available, and im sure i wont really miss that half inch. If you guys think of any other options let me know. Thanks again for the ideas.
