I'm looking for a smaller folder to use as a money clip. I'd prefer it to just be a blade, so no Sak money clip or anything.

Right now, I'm looking at:

Spyderco Lava
Spyderco Cricket
Boker Subcom (Satin PE Blade)

Recommendations?

I'll vote for the subcom, I love my subclaw and it's really the perfect shape for a money clip.

I have used the Spyderco Cricket for years as a $$$Clip. It works perfectly.

+1 on the cricket. I have the all steel version and it is VERY thin. Nice one handed opening too.

The Boker Subcom is a square shape that does not 'read' as a knife.

So when you are using it as a money clip it looks like a money clip before it looks like a knife.
And the square shape is good as a money clip!

The Cricket and Subcom are great. Not only unobtrusive, but if you need a decent little cutter, there you go. Both are very thin, so they won't bulk out your pocket.

I've had the Subcom and the Cricket. The Subcom is probably the better money clip. The Cricket is the better knife. The Spyderco Flatbyrd is an inexpensive alternative, as well.

It might be a little bigger than than some of the others considered, but the titanium clip on the Spyderco Salt works really well as a money clip.

Sorry if I hijack, but could someone please tell the width of subcom by millimeters?
I would appreciate that a lot. Thank you!

Anyone know how many bills can be clipped in the above mentioned money clip knives. My money roll can get quite fat (mostly singles :o).
