Monroe Hardware knife (1974)

I have a knife that belonged to my Father, it is an advertising knife from Monroe Hardware company in Monroe, NC that is dated 1974. I recently saw a picture of a 1978 MH knife in a knife collector's guide and it listed the value at $ 60.00. Would anyone know if this is accurate?

There are too many variables to be able to give you any idea of whther that is an accurate price for your knife. The style of knife and condition will make large differences in the value. Advertising knives are very collectable and some have very high values indeed.

Maybe you should try this question on the Bernard Levine forum. The folks there will be able to give you a better idea of the value of youyr knife. Bernard himself charges a fee for appraising a knife, but it is well worth it. You will be getting an accurate appraisal for a reasonable fee.
