Monster Fitch bowie!

Mailman brought this baby today. Blade is 13" from guard to tip of forged 1084 with a visible temper line running right down the center of the blade. Guard is nickel silver, and the handle is ironwood. Overall length of this monster is 19"! No sheath yet, but that's coming. Probably take half a cow to do up a sheath for this one!

Wow - now that's a big honkin' Bowie! Congrats on a fine knife from a fine maker - I've got to get me Fitch Bowie one of these days. So how long does a knife have to be before it becomes, technically, a sword? Thanks for sharing the pic.

Another super bowie Danbo. Are you addicted to this type of knife? How many do you have, if you don't mind me asking? In a few months I saw you post some great bowies.

To answer the first question; no, I dont think this one will skin any squirrels anytime soon. To answer the other question, I have about 2 dozen nice bowies and a few other nice customs. And a bunch of factory stuff. I would have more, but I have to let loose of something everytime I buy a new knife, or the wife will kill me.
