Still can't seem to get good pics, but here it is anyway.

13" blade from tip to front of guard. Forged 5160, with stainless "S" guard and spacer surrounding a bronze spacer. African Blackwood handle is big enough for even Ari's hand! ;) The handle is almost 7" long. That chunk of Redwood Burl the knife is sitting on measures 2' x 2'. :eek:
 
I've seen that before...Both the knife and the burl!! LOL :)
They really look good together.

I had a chance to handle this knife at Blade and it is a beauty.

When I first met Danbo at the show this year he handed me this bowie and I handed him a small utility knife that he'd made for me in trade for the block of burl you see under it. The Danbo knife's overall lenght was lest than the handle of the Gatlin. :D
 
That knife is more than enough to distract me from your avatar. :eek: :eek: That's approaching short sword status - way cool.
