Here they are safe-and-sound...snug in their leather beds...ready to go to their new homes. :D :p

Got some chopping that needs doing? ;)

Here's another pic for comparison:

The knife on the bottom is my standard Nessmuk - which at 9.5" OAL and 2" tall blade is a little longer/bigger than the average nessmuk.

And the one on top is my ShortNess with a 3" blade.

Awesome choppers Dan. What steel are they made of? Butch did a good job on the sheaths.

These are all CPM3V. Hardened to 58HRc.

It's a possibility, perhaps. Flat grind or scandi?

I'd like to see a shortness run in flat ground O1, but you don't seem to be working with O1 anymore. Whatever steel you use, it's flat ground all the way for me.

Yes - O1 and I have an on-again-off-again relationship. Fortunately, prices have gone down on it recently. It used to be I was getting 3V for less than O1. Not the case anymore. :(
3V has gone up by 50% in price. The steel alone for one of these Monster Nessies is costing me $75 per knife.
