'been searching a while for something with the looks/toughness of the emerson roadhouse but a little bigger (CS Voyager XL).
I think it will need to be custom made (If you know of a production model could you direct me to it?).
This knife is best describe as/having:
-Tactical folder.
-Tough as heck.
-Tanto point (plain edge).
-Blade thickness of 3/16".
-Blade length of 4.5" to 5".
-Steel?...hard and strong, japanese super blue or similar high carb.
-San mai (if it doesn't drive the cost up too much).
-Minimal, slim and light weight handle material.
The budget tops out around $300. I wish I could invest more, but I owe my wife something very nice for Christmas. She has not pleased with my knife collecting habit, especially the giant fixed blades that are too big and scary to be of much practical use. I am selling most of my knife collection (which doesn't get much overall use anyway) to consolidate into a small but frequently used set. (if you can relate)
Perhaps you are or know someone who might say "lets see your sketch and see if we could work something out".
