Hey; stranger things have happened. The school district is looking for two rural teachers. I believe housing is included. If you know anyone who might be interested, please email me.

Come live in Montana.

We just recalled the school board chairman last Tuseday, by a 3 to 1 margin. Next on the agenda is storming the Bastille. Since
some teachers were sucking up to the administration, they may be interested in leaving before Dr. Guillotin gets his machine set up. Others just plain have had it with this district, period.

So whereabouts is this place. Do the teachers have first dibs on transfering to the big town when other employees retire or leave openings based on their seniority?

I'd rather not exactly reveal my location. I will say one of the postions is in the local school in a small Mountain range and another probably out on the prarrie. You have to be Montana certified. Not sure how hard that is or what kind of parity they recognize. It can't be too hard because they need teachers. The State is short on teachers and has been a long time.

email me for exact location. They'd better be ready for rural though. Big city almost three hours away. That mean no Wal mart. Hospital about 45min to hour away. Bar right down the street.

I can call the School Board on monday for more data for interested parties. Perhaps putting the individual directly in contact with them would be best.
Do I get a finder's fee, I wonder?

We get a lot of teachers down here from Montana. Hard to believe, but the pay scale is way up from Montana's.

But now, the teachers turned out by Nevada colleges are all required to be both regular and special ed. trained to just graduate.

Hey, go for it - call up the School District and ask them about a bounty on teachers, paid if they sign up. I can put out the word thru my wife. Any idea what the starting salary is? That'd be helpful.;)

P.S.: Where I live is 132 miles or 2 1/2 hrs. from Reno. It used to be 70 miles north to the nearest McDonald's until one opened up here. Still the only fast food chain in town. And now we're really shrinking from what we were even 5 years ago, let alone twenty.

70 miles from a MacDonald's is a good thing.

You can bet the pay isn't great in Montana. But housing comes with the Rural postions.

Interesting stuff.

Rusty, doesn't Hawthorn have more explosives per capita than any other place in the world?

If anyone thinks they might be interested please call this number:

406 654-1871

They'll be hiring soon so hurry if you are interested. At least one of the rural postions includes housing, probably both but I don't know for sure. The district is renegotiating for salaries now, should go up a little. First year teacher previosly made only 19.3 yearly.

I think there are many people who would feel blessed to live out here. There are some compensations money can't buy.
Phillips County, Montana.
