i thought some of you fellows might find this interesting;
http://www.krtv.com/news/mt-fwp-sets-2011-wolf-hunt-quota-at-220/
fwp eliminated a pack of 30 something over the winter in our area due to excessive predation on deer,elk,moose, and livestock. the wife spoke with a fwp officer while out on her daily run that was near our cabin a couple weeks ago looking for wolf sign. he said that they thought they may have missed a couple and were wondering if we had seen any sign. she said no. the past couple of years we have seen more wolf tracks than elk. maybe not this year;)
we montana elk hunters thank you fwp:cool:

nice to see them trying to reduce the packs that really get into killing livestock. Rancher's don't have an easy life & there are ever more wolves wandering among the trees.

".. excessive predation on deer,elk,moose, and livestock."

This can't be. Big-city out-of-state environmentalists say that won't happen :foot:

Huzzah, boys. I'm off to try my luck with Mule Deer in the Domelands Wilderness.
