The wife and I went to see the Monterey Aquarium Saturday. Very hard to get good pictures with the crowd and having to shoot through glass. Horrible Lighting for Photography. Still I managed to get some Interesting shots.

You would not belive what I had to do to get the fish pictures taken through the glass to look good. Photoshop is amazing.
 
My wife and I have been there several times before kids, and we've taken the kids probably three or four times. We live in the Bay Area, and it's a great little two day getaway to go down to Monterey.

If anyone has not been there and has a chance to go, I would highly recommend it.

I'm definitely going if I ever get the chance. Good pictures, especially the jellyfish and frogs. Thanks for sharing.

How does the Monterey Aquarium compare to the Shedd Aquarium Chicago?

FYI, the aquarium in Albuquerque is lame. :)

Not sure how it compares. I do know that for many years the Monterey Aquarium was the gold standard for the world. I am sure there are more spectacular Aquariums out there now.

However the Monterey Does display Great white Sharks from time to time in the 1,000,000 gallon tank. That is hard to beat.
