One note I would like to pass along on those who enter every month in our knife give-away contest: Please do not send comments or questions with these entries.

We get about 1000 email entries a month. Our office girl is tasked with sorting through these and saving them. It absolutely pisses her off when someone does not follow the rules and sends along a long email or asks a question. She usually just disqualifies those entries since they did not follow the rules. I don't blame her. Or we get contest entries that have 3 pages of how much they think about RAT knives, or photos attached, and then she has to scroll to find the contest entry name and address. We truly appreciate the kind words, questions and comments (honestly) but send them to Mike Perrin or my email address so it doesn't put more work on our office gal and she doesn't ditch your entry into file 13. ;)

The very reason we have not put the design contest back up on the forum is it seems some people have a real difficult time of simply following the rules, thus the whole thing becomes more trouble than it's worth.

Here are the rules again:

Each month RAT Cutlery will give away a new knife to a lucky winner(s). All you have to do to enter is email contest@ratcutlery.com with the subject line "RAT Contest," with your name and shipping address in the body of the email (If you do not include your shipping address you will be disqualified). DO NOT use this email for any other inquiries since they will not be answered. On the last day of every month all names go into a hat and one lucky winner will be drawn. (Each email is assigned a number and a random number generator is used to pick the winner(s).

Is it really that hard for people to read the rules?

Oh well, I guess some people don't bother.

I wrote a script that's triggered by the calendar application on my Mac. It automatically generates and sends my entry every month. I'm not about to trust my dull memory and miss out on the chance to win great gear from the fine folks at R.A.T. Cutlery. :p
