There is no monthly contest like that. At least not one that I am aware of.
The forum MolokaiRider posted would likely be the place where it is, if there was one.
A few years ago, Spark did giveaways (I believe it was weekly) due to the 20th anniversary of BF, with things being donated by companies. Perhaps that's what you're thinking about.
