Just got this little Claude Montjoy in the sale forums from our own BFC maker/knife thrower Bobby Branton. About 3 1/4 inches, stag handle obviously, half stops, appears to have washers between the tang and liners. I really like the blade shape. Bobby is from South Carolina and so is Montjoy. There sure seems to be a lot of knife people in the Carolinas.

Nice knife Thomason:thumbup: I have friend in South Caralina that loves Claude's work and has a large collection of it. I understand that Claude took a number of knives to Blade this year and quickly sold out.

That's a real beauty, Rob! The stag is top shelf. Congrats on a fine catch there.

That's a very nice folder there! How thin did he grind that blade down?
and, how long a blade is that rascal?
Thanks for sharing,
G2

Gary,
From bolster to tip it is about 2 5/8. Blade is ground fairly thin. I have no idea if it is still the case but several years ago I recall reading that Montjoy did some of the grinding for the Masters of Defense knives.
