Finished up this fighter/bowie today, The designs were made useing 1084 and 4600a powder, and the damascaus strip down the center of the blade was 1080 & 15n20 radialed and stretched, looks kind of like a ribbon. It shows pretty well in the second foto.
OAL 12 1/2" w/7 1/2" blade. the guard, spacers and butt cap are all from the same damascus bar. The handle is ringed Gidgee.

Thanks,

Bill

Way Cool Bill, she's a beaut. Realy love the handle, everythings got a flow and clean lines.

Thank you very much for the comments. Yeah Bruce, I wish I could have gotten a closeup of the whole blade to show, there's lots of little things in there. its amazing what a moon, star or sun picture will turn into when its hammered or squeezed around some. I sure love my job. :D

I sure love my job.

Comments like that are what make me want to make knives for a living. I've already had two jobs I hate, and I don't want to go through life wasting 8-10 hours of every day on something I hate. You all seem like a slightly mal-adjusted, yet happy group of guys. I think I would fit right in :D . And as I said in the Gallery, wow. I can only aspire to such greatness.

Oh yeah Bill, that's the ticket! Man that's cool. I like the ringed gidgee too, first time I've seen it though a buddy in Australia has sent me some. Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to see what other patterns you'll come up with.

Sweet!!!:D :D :D I love that damascus pattern and the overall package is perfect. Your knives just keep getting better and better!

WOW is right J. ,Thanks everyone for the great compliments. It sure does keep a makers blood flowin when he gets such a great response. Thank you all.

Dave , you'll love the gidgee. I just wish it was easier to get. It is one of the most naturally stable woods I've ever used.

Thanks,

Bill
