was at a gun and knife show yesterday and picked up a Moore Knife. It looks like a mountain man pattern to me. I have been looking for one and this knife was in ram horn. It came new in the box. I tried to find out about it and was wondering if Queen made it. What type of steel is used. The box insert only said that carbon blades should be lightly oiled. If I am lucky, maybe this is D2. I'm not much for folders but this is a keeper. After I got it home, noticed that on the blade side there is a small gap on each side that I could slide a dollar bill into. Any info on this knife would be appreciated. If the ram horn is shrinking, what can I use to oil it up. Not familiar with the care. Regards

Queen makes the higher-end Moore Maker knives. The lower end are now made by Bear and Sons, previously Camillus. AFAIK, Moore Makers have only ever been offered in carbon steel, and Queen uses 1095.
