It is quite a beautiful stockman; however, I have a few questions.

First, opening the blades up are killer. Honestly, it feels like my fingernail is going to give before the blade does. I've oiled the joints with 3-in-one and it has helped a little, but is still tough as hell. Is this normal? Should I return the knife?

Second, and least important, I notice the edge of the blades are a bit rough. Being that I have a Sharpmaker, this isn't a problem, but again, is this normal?

Which model no. is this ?
I like strong springs particularly after my last 4 Case purchases seem as though they have no backsprings .
I too find roughness in some new blades but a few minutes using the GATCO system generally sorts this out.If the blades are chipped however, I would be inclined to return the knife to the vendor as this is not acceptable.
