This was the last one in this style an ebay seller had in stock, his other listing for the model was a different blade/construction. I think this was made by Camillus, and if I had to guess, the new one looks like maybe Queen, but regulars of this board would know better than I on that. Anyway, I'm a little disappointed in how it was put together. The delrin doesn't match the liners, neither does the lockbar. The lock sits above the blade spine when open, there is some vertical and horizontal play when locked, there's a .015" gap between the backspacer and liner at the back end, and a nib of delrin at the other end by the pivot. There's also some sort of black grease around the pins and shield.

I picked this one up because I figured I might not get another chance for this particular style from MM. I may try to get the new style now and see if it's better built.

I've heard that some Moore Maker "seconds" get out into the marketplace without being marked as such.
Perhaps on the next one you buy, you can ask the seller to take a quick look at the fit & finish of the knife being shipped to you.

LB? The L is 'lock', but what does B stand for?
Any chance of sending it to MM and asking for bringing it back to standards?

I just e-mailed Mooremaker to see what they say. I've never purchased one of their knives before, but I wouldn't blame them for this anyway, this appears to be the product of a dying Camillus, and they probably don't inspect every knife sent to them for sale under their brand, relying on manufacturer QC.
I would just suggest for others to request a visual inspection by a seller before trying to get a similar knife made in the same period, I did read of some QC complaint on other Camillus knives made near the end. (this all of course depends on the MM knives being made by Camillus, as I had read some time ago. plus this looks a lot like the carbon series with different scales)
