Mooremaker knives

I’ve got a queen made Moore maker stockman in 1095. And it’s one dadgum fine knife. The main blade and sheepsfoot both open right handed, which, to me, is quite a useful layout. And all blades sit fairly deep for a stockman. One of my favorite knives.

Mooremaker never "made" anything. They are a retailer who contracts companies to make stuff for them.
For knives, its been places like Utica, Queen and Camillus in the past, now its Bear and Sons.
This is wrong. Moore Maker doesn't make knives. They do make fence tools and dehorners in Matador, Texas.

What they said.

Used to be that Queen made their top end knives. Camillus made their lower end knives.

Just quoting their web site. Maybe they’re just being untrue saying they made knives, dehorners and other edged ranch equipment. You sound like you know what your talking about.

Your sodbuster is a recently made knife from Bear and Sons. Look them up and compare the locking sodbuster model.

Their website is where I read that they don't make knives, but do make farm tools.

"
Q: Are your knives made in USA, Texas, etc?

A:
Our knives are 100% made in the USA with American made materials. All of our knives are contract manufactured for us by American companies in various states. We own many of the patents and materials and in many cases the jigs and dies as well. We do not build knives in Matador, TX, currently we only build some dehorners and fencing tools in Matador. "

Might want to read more carefully before accusing people of lying.

I don’t know if it’s still the case but the letters accompanying the model number of the knives sometimes denoted the manufacturers.
