I'd like to recommend a knife I haven't heard much about on the forums, the Mooremaker Roper.

For personal reasons, I have long wanted a folder with what I thought was an impossible set of specifications: one handed opening, pocket clip, and-- 1095 steel.

The only knife I've found to fit these specs (and my hand--it comes in three sizes) is the Mooremaker Roper. Made for Mooremaker by Bear & Sons, it comes in Yellow Delrin. The fit and finish are just okay, and the blade was not very sharp. But the price is under $40, and that's why I wanted 1095, so I could sharpen it myself.

Anybody else have thoughts on these knives? Or know of any other folders with these special characteristics?

Way up in price but meets your criteria. Custom knives and he specializes in 1095.

They are out of production at the moment, but Case has made in the past and will likely make again a "mid folding Hunter". They made some with CV blades. (1085 with a touch of Chromium and a touch of Vanadium). You might find one on some auction site or other on occasion.

Never tried one, but it would pretty much fit your parameters.

Case has recently reintroduced the variation of the TrapperLock that features a pocket clip. Kinda a traditional/modern hybrid knife of a sort. Not my cup of tea, however it meets most of your specs with the exception of the price.
