Thank you very much!yeah, a half round file should do it fine...
you may end up wanting to use sandpaper, but honestly, but a machete like that I find I usually like to wrap them with tennis or leather tape
Thanks! No taper, 1/16” thick the whole length, weight is 1 pound, blade is powder coated , or has some sort of rust prevention coating. No complaints at all, aside from handle being a 2x4I’d be curious to hear a report on that one. What does it weigh? How thick is the blade stock? Does it have a distal taper? (Does the blade stock get thinner as you go out toward the tip?)
Don’t hesitate to reshape the handle to make it more comfortable. Wrap it for grip, or to thicken it up, in case you went too far.
If this is your first machete, you are in for some fun. If the bug bites you, it won’t be your last. Watch a Joe Flowers video on how to use a machete, for some basic tips on safety and technique before you start swinging it in earnest.
for everyone else - it looks to be similar to a basic 18" ontario machete - even the same 1095 steel
never heard of them before but this should be their own pic
post a pic of your results after you're done
