sat around watching this bull and doe munch around one of the ponds i trap minnows at today... as you can see, YES, it has been snowing here haha... there's a chill in the air but it's passing. glad i brought the good camera.
next time i'm out seriously i'm hoping it will be alongside my new pocket carry setup that i posted in my other thread!
they hung out for a good ten minutes before catching a sniff of me and lumbering off into the bush...here are the best of the shots.

PS the red marker flags are for ATV/snow machine trail that will be going in. just needs clearing.

notice the bull's horns just starting in

Moose tastes better than minnows. Those ones look skinny though.

Beautiful. It's always a treat to spot a moose.

Thanks for sharing, northern!

It's amazing just how big those critters are. Mean too.
Thanks for sharing.

Those are some awesome pics buddy, must have been great to actually see them for real !!!

That is so cool. Though I think a moose would scare me more than a bear!

couldn't agree more! especially in rutt. bear really won't bother you generally. moose though can have a rage in their eyes! haha like a fighting bull on stilts

I've seen a lot of moose and bison, the synopsis, big, hairy, smelly, taste great.

I meant they look skinny even for winter weight, almost sick. Maybe just young and skinny, first winter without mamma.
