Well not really, but while running today this cow didn't look too happy to be sharing the bike path with me and my dog. Thought I'd also post a couple of pictures from my drive to alaska.

Sheep mountain, BC

The reason it's called sheep mountain, bighorn sheep lamb (about 10-15 others on the mountainside, this little guy tried to practically hop into my jeep!)

There are tons more, but those are the best. If you decide to ever drive up the alaskan highway, don't do it before may as I still ran into 2 snowstorms up in the mountains on the way up!

Wow, great pics... makes me miss montana :( How long is your drive going to be? Are you driving a civlilized jeep, or a wrangler/cj? I would love to make that drive, but with a fuel range of 300 miles in my wrangler, I dunno if I could make the longer legs...

Great pics! I'll be in Anchorage, on business, sometime this summer. I've been there once before, and Kodiak once as well. Loved Kodiak, but, I was there on vacation....so I got to enjoy it more.:D

Yeah I drove my diesel jeep liberty up there. Took me 6 days of driving 10-12 hours a day. Going through BC was the slowest especially on the beginning of the Alcan Highway where I saw 15 dead moose on the road in just 1 hour!! After leaving the border pretty much the only sizable city between Seattle and Anchorage is Whitehorse which is a very nice little town.

Nice pics beefhog! Thanks.
Elk Trivia: How do you chase off an elk? Bricks won't work. My ex-girlfriend pegged one with a brick while it ate her garden. I don't think it even looked up. Solution - Attach a garbage bag to a hockey stick (eh?) and wave it high like a flag. They freak out and take off. The wardens even use it.

I don't think that fence is going to curb the outrageous influx of rabid illegal Canadians...
Maybe we should add a trash bag on a hockey stick every 100m or so:D eh?
I'm just not so keen on packing up all my INFI to go guard that border, that's all!
he he he! nice pics!
