I have 2 commissions going with a maker right now, one is being made in ivory paper micarta and the other I am trying to find a suitable piece of elk/moose antler for it. But there in lies the problem I'm having. I need a solid piece of antler that is 13 inches long 2 inches thick and 3 inches wide. The problem has been finding one solid enough, any suggestions from the knifemakers or hunters here of where to find such a piece?
