I believe I own the very knife in the picture in this article. Scott, Can you confirm? Ive been using the knife a lot lately, mostly cutting steaks and the like. I plan on using it as my primary hunting knife this season. What else can you tell me about it? Thanks.

You're right Andy. Dan Shechtman took that knife to Alaska 2 years ago and wrote about it in the Survival column in TK magazine. I've only made three of those Moose knives and yours is the first one made.

Thanks brother. I recall talking to you about the knife at Gosstoberfest. I came across the article and thought that it was the same knife. Its cool to know that its the exact knife and a little bit about the knifes history and travels. It slices venison steaks superbly! thanks

Andy, did you pick that up from Dan at the campout?

I think about 45% of custom fixed blades out there, especially Randalls, must pass through Dan's hands at some point :D.

I did pick it up at the camp out. I guess it was Dan? I never got his name and I think he left early. Really nice guy.

No, I traded for another Gossman. Actually, it was a Razorback. One of a kind (I think) with curly maple and O1.
