Moose Knife

My buddy lives in Fairbanks and paid me a visit a couple of months back. He asked if I would make a knife with a blade long enough to remove the back straps from moose. I made this one that resembles a fighter with more belly and thinner blade thickness. I started with 7/32" CPM 154CM. The blade is 6.75" long(hollow ground on 14" wheel) and the OAL is 12". Handle is African Blackwood with red spacers and nickel silver guard. Mosaic pin added for some character. Blade was mirror polished then hand sanded to 3000 grit. Thanks for looking, comments good or indifferent welcomed. I apologize for the photos, I need a photo light box but anxious to get this in the mail. The last photo is an enlargement of my etched logo as the photo's did not reveal it very well.:o:o Sorry for the double photo, I need to work on my editing skills.

Man, that 's a GREAT knife......looks to be superlative work and I love the double-guard......wouldn't take much to make that an excellent fighter.
