After telling Moose I've never handled a BKT knife,a parcel showed up at my gate.I opened it up and inside were a BK2 and a BK77 for testing.I'm posting some photos of his knives down on the Border.

Can't believe Moose parted with his 2, you better take good care of that one..:) Looking good though!

Moose, we've got reliable postage where I live you know...LOL

A couple goods ones got sure. Keep the pix of you beating the up coming!

Both knives cut through cactus with equal enthusiasm!I was surprised that a blade as thick as the BK2 could cut like a laser.

The BK77 was much lighter that it looks and the thumb ramp is a real plus!Another thing that kinda surprised me was the grips were much better in hand than I expected.

Great pics Tom, and very cool of Moose to let you borrow them. The polish on the 77 looks cool

Sweet. :D

Glad you are liking them. Those are some good lookin' pics and knives. :D

Even if I do say so myself.

Moose

Very cool to see Beckers in the desert ! I'm used to seeing them in the woods and water, but a change of scenery is refreshing. Keep the pics coming as you use those pieces. Both are very capable tools, fine specimens of BK&T there. Moose, good on ya for spreading Becker love as always.

Moose is a generous guy...Cant believe he just shipped them to you...
Yes it came as a total surprise, and they've been down here for a few weeks now.I had discussed some concerns about the handles and sheaths that come with a factory BKT knife. After spending some time using them, those concerns are now gone. The handles feel very good in hand with no hot spots that could cause blisters during heavy use.The material used in the handles looks and feels much like that of a M16 rifle. Not only are they pretty much indestructible and also help keeping the weight of these heavy duty knives to a minimum.
