I have a mora 162 I got to goof around with spoon making, but I have spent more time trying to fashion some sort of duct tape sheath that actually works. I am comming up dry. any ideas? thought bout a leather or canvas sleeve. what do you guys use?

I made a wood case for mine. Took a piece of bass wood (you should have some laying around I'd guess), carved it into a block, cut off the top. Then I took a shish-ka-bob rod and bent it into the shape of the spoon knife. I then heat it red hot with a torch and burned out a place for the blade. You need to do this several times, removing char as you go. Char will insulate the wood so it must be scraped away. I then drilled a hole for the swing dowel (poplar dowel) and glued it into the top.

Works quite well.

Thats genius Im going to have to try that out. something like that never crossed my mind. I wouldnt want to do it with a wooden handle but along that same concept I bet one could print up something pretty cool with a 3D printer.
(btw stunning knife)
