I hit the lake this afternoon taking my little Mora 2/0 around my neck, and forgetting my Mora fillet knife.
That became a problem when this guy landed in the boat:

4lbs3oz, not bad for the 350 acre private lake we were on. I think he should have gone a solid 5lbs were he not so darn skinny.
I had a real hankering for some of my homemade fish tacos:

When Suddenly I realized all I had on me was this humble little guy:

The little Mora did a fine job despite it's small size and there being a much better tool for that specific job. I am always amazed at how that little knife cuts like a scalpel.
It took the fish down quickly and neatly and allowed me to leave the carcass in the woods for the possums instead of it stinking all week in my trash can until garbage day.
I was disappointed I left the fillet knife at home, it's new and I was looking forward to using it. Regardless The wife and I had fresh fish tacos for dinner tonight.
