After looking at the responses to my Ka-bar thread, I am looking into a Mora 2000. I have a couple of questions. How thick is the blade? Is it thick and tough enough for survival use? Also, Is the blade full tang? Thanks.

To give you an idea of how full the tang is, here is a picture of a Mora 2000 without the handle.

Here is a really cool xray of Swedish Moras that show the tangs, the Mora 2000 is the 4th from the top.

The Sandvik stainless steels are among the toughest stainless steels as they are realtively low carbon and very low carbide steels. The big issue with the Mora 2000 is that since it is 1/16" thick the strength is low so no significant prying. You could break it easily just by rotating your wrist so if you want to do a lot of leverage work then that isn't the knife.
